Metro Transit Fuel - 2026 Diesel

The City of Madison Metro Transit is soliciting bids for #2 Premium Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel. The contract term is approximately one year, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with an estimated 756,000 gallons of fuel to be delivered. The fuel must meet specific standards, including a cetane number of at least 46, detergency, lubricity, and demulsifier properties. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and maintain a 30-day inventory of fuel for the City. • The City requires the fuel to be delivered to two locations: Madison Metro Transit Maintenance and Administration Facility and Madison Metro Transit Satellite Facility. • The City reserves the right to split a transport load or make multiple drops. • The successful bidder must provide quarterly reports showing delivery date, type of fuel, number of gallons, price per gallon, and total cost. • The City has adopted a local preference purchasing policy, granting a scoring preference to local suppliers. • The City is exempt from payment of federal excise taxes and State of Wisconsin taxes.
