Design-Build Services for Solar and Energy Storage Installations at Category 1 City-Owned Properties

The City of Pasadena is seeking a design-build contractor to provide solar and energy storage installations at Category 1 City-owned properties. The project includes site evaluation, design, permitting, procurement, construction, installation, interconnection, commissioning, and operations and maintenance. The city desires solar at all sites and energy storage where feasible. The scope of work requires the contractor to evaluate existing electrical infrastructure and account for future electric vehicle charging expansion. The city reserves the right to award one contract, multiple contracts, or modify the awarded scope based on feasibility, cost, funding, schedule, and other considerations. • The project includes multiple sites, with estimated site capacities provided for planning and proposal purposes only. • The city requires a design-build approach, with a focus on best-value selection. • The contractor must provide a technical proposal, price proposal, and statement of qualifications and relevant experience. • The city has established a goal to source 100% of Pasadena's electricity from carbon-free resources by 2030.
