Scrap Metal Services

The City of Farmington is seeking a vendor to provide scrap metal disposal services. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to three additional years. The vendor will be responsible for collecting and disposing of scrap metal from various city locations, including the Central Warehouse, Vehicle Maintenance, Parks and Recreation, and power plants. The vendor must provide all necessary equipment, labor, and transportation to remove the scrap metal from city premises. The city will provide access to the scrap metal storage sites and will notify the vendor when the scrap metal containers are to be picked up. The vendor must comply with all city site regulations, perform activities in a safe manner, and maintain the scrap metal storage area in a neat, clean, and safe condition. • The city is looking for a vendor with experience in scrap metal disposal services, particularly with government agencies. • The vendor must provide a detailed report with each payment, including the date of collection, description of the material, weight of the material, and current market price for the material. • The vendor must also provide a list of three references of clients who have received similar services within the past three years. • The city reserves the right to conduct a site visit to the vendor's facilities to evaluate their equipment, vehicles, records, personnel, and disposal sites.
