RFP NO. 26-05 Kotzebue VPSO Housing

The Northwest Arctic Borough Public Safety Department is seeking a lease‑type arrangement for a residential housing unit to accommodate its Village Public Safety Office staff in Kotzebue. The unit must support up to eight overnight occupants, provide full kitchen and laundry facilities, accommodate vehicles and snow‑machines, be pet‑friendly for a K‑9, and allow installation of Starlink satellite equipment. Proposals must include a cover letter, monthly rent, utility cost breakdown, insurance proof, and a detailed housing description with photos. Evaluation will be based equally on facility specifications (50 points) and cost (50 points). • Minimum 4 bedrooms (or equivalent) for up to 8 occupants, 2+ bathrooms, large kitchen, refrigerator/freezer, and laundry. • Parking for 2‑4 vehicles/off‑road equipment, exterior lighting, and power for winter vehicle charging. • Requirements for security (limited other tenants, camera mounting) and pet‑friendly accommodations for a K‑9. • Lease term: July 1 2026 – June 30 2027 (one year) with a 60‑day proposal validity.
