S215--Warehouse Storage and Transportation Services - IC

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide warehouse storage and transportation services for the Iowa City VA Hospital. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, storing, and delivering medical equipment and supplies. The contractor must have a warehouse facility within a 25-mile radius of the Iowa City VA Hospital and must be able to provide temperature-controlled storage between 60°F and 75°F. The contractor will also be responsible for providing labor, equipment, and transportation for deliveries. • The contractor must have normal liability insurance, property insurance, and vehicle insurance. • The contractor must be able to receive drop shipments of medical equipment and supplies. • The contractor must be able to provide a catalogue of materials stored. • The contractor must be able to deliver items to the dock, and VA employees will move items to the final destination. • The contractor must be able to provide forklift equipment and operators at the warehouse. • The contractor must be able to insure the medical equipment and supplies while in their possession.
