The City of Detroit is seeking General Contractors and/or Moving Companies to establish a Multiple Award Schedule for Moving & Relocation Services. The contract will provide Detroit customer agencies with competitive choices, reduced procurement processing time, and long-term contract opportunities for five years. The services include moving and hauling services, internal and external moves, reconfiguration services, and installation services. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, materials, and personnel to perform the services. • The contract will be for a period of five years, with an option to extend for an additional five years. • The contractor will be required to provide a written estimate of the expected cost for each move, including equipment, personnel, and hours required to complete the move. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with State of Michigan Safety Codes and all other applicable laws. • The contractor will be required to provide insurance, including worker's compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability insurance. • The City of Detroit reserves the right to cancel or terminate the contract at any time.
