Speech Therapy for Lake Valley Navajo School

The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) is seeking a speech therapist to provide services to students at Lake Valley Navajo School. The therapist will work one day per week, providing speech and language therapy to identified students. The therapist will also conduct evaluations, provide teacher consultation services, and participate in IEP meetings. The contract is for one year, with the option to extend. • The therapist will work with students who have individualized education plans (IEPs) that require speech and language therapy. • The therapist will conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine if a student meets the requirements for an exceptional educational placement. • The therapist will provide daily performance data, assist with goal writing, and participate in IEP meetings. • The therapist will submit quarterly progress notes and therapy logs for students.
