Description
This solicitation seeks qualified contractors to execute a comprehensive reconstruction of the Tri‑State Tollway (I‑94) plazas at Mile Post 4.7 – 13.8 in Lake County, Illinois. The work includes demolition of existing toll‑plaza structures, removal of median islands, replacement of ramp pavements and shoulders, installation of new barrier‑wall extensions, monotubes, lighting, signage, electrical systems, as well as landscaping, erosion control, and traffic‑maintenance. The contract is expected to start mid‑February 2027 and be completed by November 2028, with mandatory compliance to DBE (21 %) and VOSB (2 %) utilization goals, prevailing‑wage requirements, and extensive bonding and insurance obligations.
