Third Party Administrator for Douglas County Workers' Compensation

The Douglas County Purchasing Agent is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to select a qualified vendor to provide Third Party Administrator (TPA) services for the Douglas County Workers’ Compensation Claims processing. The vendor will be responsible for all requirements and successful performance of this contract. The scope of services includes claims management, medical management, and loss control. The vendor will work with the managed care nurse manager to manage on-the-job injuries and return injured employees to work as soon as medically possible. The contract term is three years with two optional one-year extensions. • Key aspects of the job include: • Claims management and medical management • Loss control and return-to-work programs • Compliance with workers’ compensation excess carrier insurance policy • Communication with Douglas County representative and assigned O’Hara case manager • Periodic claim or service meetings and narrative claim reports • On-line access to adjuster notes and electronic data interchange (EDI) transfer with the State of Nebraska
