Description

The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to conduct a stakeholder and public-centered transportation technology/infrastructure planning process that will result in the Regional Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Plan. The plan will provide concluding recommendations to equip stakeholders with the information they need to plan for a future that enables increased consumer choices in vehicle technology. The scope of work includes project management and coordination, stakeholder and public involvement, mobility and infrastructure analysis, energy, grid, and utilities consideration, economic, workforce, and safety analysis, and report development and outreach. • The contractor will develop a public engagement plan, conduct stakeholder and public involvement activities, and assess existing and projected ZEV populations across the region. • The contractor will analyze the suitability of existing public charging and fueling infrastructure and identify suitable locations for future public charging and fueling infrastructure. • The contractor will assess the impact of increasing ZEV adoption on energy, the electrical grid, and utilities/infrastructure. • The contractor will develop a comprehensive, visually appealing final plan document using the results of the analyses, stakeholder and public involvement, etc.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this project is estimated to be between $500,000 and $2,000,000, considering the scope of work, the complexity of the project, and the fact that it is a regional plan. The actual budget may vary depending on the contractor's proposal, the number of stakeholders involved, and the level of detail required for the plan. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of personnel, equipment, and materials, as well as the need for travel and meetings with stakeholders.
