Description
The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) is seeking qualified organizations to provide Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) services statewide. The goal of the PSSF program is to strengthen families and advance child safety, permanency, and well-being through evidence-based services and promising practices. Eligible organizations include local government agencies, private non-profit or not-for-profit community organizations, and tribal nations. The program prioritizes family voice, community collaboration, and measurable outcomes to support families across the entire child welfare continuum.
• The PSSF program aims to prevent child maltreatment, ensure children's safety, and support families with necessary services.
• The program will provide services in four core areas: Family Support, Family Preservation, Family Reunification, and Adoption/Post-Permanency Support.
• Organizations must evaluate their capacity to deliver services that will have the greatest impact on the families they intend to serve.
• Community needs should inform the selection of service priorities from Colorado's PSSF-funded options.
• Proposals must align with the approved Colorado PSSF Service Priorities and meet specific evidence-based rating requirements.
