Statement of Interest (SI) No. 27-038 Eaglecrest Bar Contractor Opportunity

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a qualified local contractor to operate the bar concessions at Eaglecrest Ski Area. The contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment and staffing necessary to run the bar/lounge operations successfully. The contract is expected to be a multi-year concessions contract, and the contractor will have the exclusive right to provide external beer and wine sales at various locations on the mountain for one-time special events. The ideal contractor will provide a strategic menu of top-selling beers and/or wines, and will be expected to sign a contract with the actual terms being determined through negotiations. • The contractor must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Alaska and have all the appropriate licenses to serve alcohol. • The contractor must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that meets the Insurance Requirements for the operation as determined by the CBJ Risk Department. • The contractor will be expected to provide details on their business plan, including their vision for operating the Eaglecrest Bar Concessions, their intended beverage program, and their intended revenue sharing ideas. • The contractor will be expected to provide details on their experience and qualifications, including their business's beverage service and management experience, and their ability to meet the possible food concession expansion.
