Y--Rehabilitation of Water and Wastewater System

The National Park Service is seeking a qualified contractor to fully rehabilitate the water supply and wastewater collection systems within the Curecanti National Recreation Area (Elk Creek, Lake Fork, and Iola zones). The effort includes replacing primary and secondary water distribution lines, sewer mains, lift stations, septic tanks, leach fields, and associated mechanical/electrical components, as well as installing a SCADA system for remote monitoring. Work must be performed while the park remains open to the public, requiring careful staging, limited access, and protective measures for surrounding natural resources. The contract is a total small‑business set‑aside with an estimated value exceeding $10 million and a performance window of roughly 550 calendar days, including potential weather‑related delays. • Replace/upgrade water distribution pipelines and associated valves at Elk Creek and Lake Fork. • Replace/rehabilitate wastewater collection, sewer mains, lift stations, septic tanks, leach fields, and lagoon liners. • Install new pumps, generators, and a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. • Perform necessary civil works (asphalt/concrete cutting, patching, road/parking lot restoration). • Provide all required permits, inspections, and compliance with federal, state, and park environmental protections. • Deliver the project within 550 days, adhering to liquidated damages of $1,420 per day for late completion.
