RFP 25-004 - Pest Control Services

The Shawnee Mission School District is seeking a vendor to provide pest control services for its facilities. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan, including monthly, quarterly, and weekly services, as well as record keeping and posting of required notices. The contract term will be from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, with four annual options to renew. The District is looking for a vendor that can provide quality pest control services, including surveillance, trapping, and pesticide applications, as well as structural and procedural modifications to reduce pest infestations. Some of the key services required include: * Monthly inspection visits to food preparation areas, kitchen dry storage areas, public eating areas, break areas, vending areas, concession areas, concession storage areas, custodial closets, receiving and dock areas, all restrooms, all instructional areas utilizing food, nurse stations, and exterior entryways * Quarterly inspection visits to all basements, sub-basements, and mechanical spaces * Weekly contact with the District's designated representative to discuss any pest sightings or signs that may need attention from the contractor * Posting of required pest control signs in prominent locations * Maintenance of a pest control logbook for each building or site specified in the finalized contract * Suppression of general pests such as rodents, cockroaches, ants, flies, spiders, and other anthropoid pests The District is looking for a vendor that can provide these services in a timely and efficient manner, while also ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors.
