Wide Area Network (WAN) Services Contract

Pender County Schools is requesting proposals for symmetrical leased lit fiber transport, without Internet access, for delivery of wide area network (WAN) services to the district. The service is expected to originate at the district's hub and be delivered to each site in a resilient design. The contract will be for a term of 3 or 5 years, with options for renewal. The proposal should include pricing for options up to 10 Gbps for each location and for a minimum of 10 Gbps up to 40 Gbps at the hub location. Key considerations include: • E-rate eligible costs • Quality of previous experiences with the company • Proposed contract terms and conditions • E-rate ineligible costs • Understanding of needs Some of the key requirements for the proposal include: • A description of the proposal, including an overview and any deviations from the requested architecture • A network diagram displaying the paths to be used to serve each endpoint • Construction details, including the total project plant route feet and average cost per foot of outside plants • References from current or recent customers • A prepared service contract ready for signing within 10 business days of receiving the Letter of Intent • A completed checklist, including items such as pricing, construction routes, and bandwidth scalability.
