Notice of Intent to Sole Source: NIMH Water Pretreatment System Replacement

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Neu-Ion, Inc. for the replacement of the water pretreatment system. The system includes a multimedia filter system, carbon filter system, and softener system, which are part of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water system that provides and delivers RO water to the Central Animal Facility (CAF) and all the multi-IC laboratories throughout Building 49. The current system has leakage issues that affect its performance, and the NIMH requires a replacement to ensure the efficiency and longevity of the RO system. * The contract will be for the replacement of the entire pretreatment system. * The system must be compatible with the existing equipment. * The contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-05. * Interested parties may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be considered by the agency.
