Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility Trash Service

The State of Iowa seeks a contract to collect, transport, and dispose of solid waste, garbage, and refuse at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility. The contract will begin on 04/03/2026 and end on 04/02/2027, with the option to renew for up to five years. The successful bidder will be required to provide all equipment, labor, supervision, and materials for the collection, transportation, and disposal of all garbage and refuse. The bidder must also comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and lawful orders of any public authority having jurisdiction. • The contract requires the provision of a compactor with a 30-yard self-contained roll-off, 4-6 yard containers, and 1-6 yard container. • The bidder must provide adequate time for collection of garbage and obey posted on-site speed limits. • The bidder must provide a coordinator for scheduling and coordination of all on-site activities. • The bidder must comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and lawful orders of any public authority having jurisdiction. • The bidder's employees are subject to security checks and background checks.
