Transit Hub Elevator Addition

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) is soliciting bids for the design‑build construction of a new passenger elevator at the exterior of its Transit Hub, providing accessibility to all building levels, and the demolition of an existing exterior loading area. The scope covers all phases from mobilization through commissioning, including site work, structural steel, elevator pit and shaft construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior finishes, and final close‑out documentation. • New exterior passenger elevator to serve all building floors • Demolition and removal of an existing exterior loading zone • Complete civil works: excavation, backfill, pit foundations, concrete work • Structural steel framing and masonry for elevator shaft and surrounding envelope • Installation of elevator equipment, controls, and safety systems • Mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, and electrical/communications integration • Exterior envelope work: insulated metal panels, roofing, waterproofing, doors, glazing • Site improvements: sidewalks, curbs, bollards, traffic/pedestrian control • Testing, inspections, commissioning, as‑built drawings, and operator training • Contractor overhead, profit, and optional contingency included in bid breakdown
