Sole Source Purchase for Wastewater Gearbox Installation and Services

The City of Artesia is seeking to make a sole source purchase for the installation of a new gearbox at their wastewater treatment plant. The purchase includes the procurement of proprietary engineered parts, installation to correct factory tolerances and specifications, and training of staff with operations and maintenance. The sole source vendor is Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (dba Kruger), as they are the only supplier of spare parts for their engineered and proprietary designed Kruger Maxi Ditch System. • The scope of work includes witness/oversight of the gearbox installation, training of plant crew, and verification of correct alignments and installation of equipment. • The contract term is 5 years, starting from 11/01/2025 and ending on 11/01/2030. • The total cost of the purchase is $21,429.15.
