Permanent Public Art at Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Headquarters Building (The HQ) - Terrazzo Floor & Entryway Plaza

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking a professional visual artist or artist team to design, create, and install site-specific terrazzo floor and exterior concrete artwork at the new RTAA Headquarters building and Police Station. The artwork will be thematic, public-facing, and part of the permanent collection at the Airport. The project includes 1,198 square feet of terrazzo floor in the interior entrance area and 1,991 square feet of concrete at the exterior entrance plaza. The budget for the project is $200,000, all inclusive. • The project is open to local, regional, and national artists. • The application requirements include a resume/CV, artist statement/bio, letter of interest, portfolio images, and three professional references. • The selection process will include a review of submittals, with semi-finalists notified in mid-January 2026, and an RFP phase for semi-finalists from mid-January to late February 2026. • The project timeline spans from mid-January to late February 2026 for the RFP phase, and early March to March 27, 2026 for agreement negotiation and legal review.
