The City and Borough of Wrangell is seeking an experienced architectural/engineering firm to provide full professional‑services design, permitting, construction‑administration and inspection for the rehabilitation of the Public Safety Building (PSB) in Wrangell, AK. The scope covers complete exterior envelope replacement, roof systems, structural repairs, mechanical/electrical upgrades, hazardous‑materials abatement, ADA upgrades, and site work, along with temporary tenant relocation planning. The selected consultant will deliver 45 % design development, 95 % design development, and 100 % bid‑ready construction documents, assist with bidding, and provide construction‑admin services through to substantial completion. • Design of building envelope, roof, structural upgrades, mechanical, electrical, fire‑protection, and accessibility improvements. • Management of hazardous‑materials abatement (asbestos, lead) and coordination of tenant relocation. • Full construction‑administration, including submittal review, RFI handling, change‑order preparation, and final inspection. • Project funded by a $3 M general‑obligation bond plus $0.5 M local matching, with a total estimated project cost of ~$5 M; consultant fee estimated at $300‑$350 k.
