Radar Calibrations & Repairs

The City of Warwick is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the annual calibration and repairs of the Traffic Division's radar equipment. The scope of work includes calibration and repair of various radar units, including Stalker Duals, Stalker II Units, Decatur Genesis II Radar Units, Kustom Audio Signal Units, Laser Technology TruSpeed SBX, and Laser Technology Ultralyte LR Laser Unit. The vendor must be an authorized dealer for the respective radar equipment and provide documentation that their calibration equipment meets the State of Rhode Island Calibration Standards. The vendor will be responsible for all costs regarding off-site repairs, including shipping and insurance costs. • The vendor must provide a new certified calibration sheet for each radar unit and tuning fork. • Repairs to individual radar units must not exceed a $300.00 limit without prior authorization. • The vendor must provide a list of repairs, replacement parts, and cost of labor per hour for each radar unit serviced. • The vendor must document any "bench work" required on the radars during calibration. • The vendor must provide a warranty for repairs.
