RFI - Two Fiber Winders

The US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center (DEVCOM Soldier Center) is seeking information from potential sources to provide two fiber winders capable of spooling Nylon 6/6 fibers. The winders should have dual switching capabilities, spare parts packages, and include commissioning and installation to certify the equipment. The required specifications include a winding speed of up to 3000 m/min, yarn count range of 2800-3500 den, and a package weight of up to 30 pounds. • The fiber winders should have automatic switching of rolls, load volume and load weight limitations, and a cycle time of at least 30 minutes. • The contractor should provide product brochures, pictures, and other product literature, as well as information about the equipment systems, including price lists, production lead time, shipping terms, and installation services. • The deliverables include two fiber winders with all associated hardware, software, controllers, safety equipment, and recommended spare parts. • The vendor will need 10 months' lead time for delivery of the fiber winders after receipt of order.
