RFP for Salt, Sand Material, Beet Juice Concentrate for Winter Street Maintenance

The City of Bismarck is seeking cost proposals from qualified manufacturers or their representatives to provide Brine Salt, Deicing Sand Material, and Beet Juice Concentrate for Winter Street Maintenance for the 2026-2027 seasons. The contract will be divided into three parts, with a separate contract awarded for each part. The city estimates needing approximately 5,000 tons of deicing sand, 3,500 tons of brine salt, and 30,000 gallons of beet juice concentrate. The successful contractor must furnish copies of insurance certificates and name the City of Bismarck as an additional insured. • The contract will be for a period of two years, from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2028. • The city reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of sixty days and to reject any and all bids. • The successful contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The city will provide the necessary specifications and requirements for the materials. • The contractor must deliver the materials to the city's storage yard. • The city will pay the contractor based on the unit prices bid per ton or gallon.
