Dewatering and Thickening Polymer

The City of Lincoln is requesting bids to supply Liquid Dewatering and Thickening Polymer for the Theresa Street Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) and the Northeast WRRF. The contract requires the delivery of approximately 325,000 lbs. of active polymer annually. The polymer will be used for centrifuge dewatering and thickening activities at both facilities. The city will evaluate bids based on the lowest bid price per pound, pounds of polymer per dry ton, and the performance degree of dewatering and thickening obtained from field trials. • The contract requires the vendor to provide onsite technical assistance as needed. • The vendor must comply with federal and state regulations concerning the transport of chemicals. • The city reserves the right to halt and cancel testing if the submitted polymer causes serious problems in the operation of equipment. • The city makes no guarantee as to the consistency or characteristics of the wastewater sludge.
