JobsCT Tax Rebate Program

* The JobsCT Tax Rebate Program is a tool to facilitate private sector job creation in Connecticut. * Eligible employers can earn a tax rebate of 25% of withholding taxes from net new employees, or 50% if located in a Distressed Municipality or Opportunity Zone. * Program requirements include: + Creating a minimum of 25 new full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs. + Minimum wage of $37,500. + Salaries must be 85% of the median household income of the municipality where the jobs will be located. * Priority considerations are given to businesses in economic-based industries such as manufacturing, life sciences, and information technology. * Approved companies are responsible for all closing costs and must retain contracted employment obligations for 24 consecutive months prior to disbursement of funds. * Additional incentives may apply for companies hiring individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
