HISTORIC AND CULTURAL PRESERVATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, PROGRAMMING, AND PROTECTION SERVICES

The Hayti Promise Community Development Corporation is seeking a qualified organization to provide historic and cultural preservation technical assistance, programming, and protection services. The selected organization will deliver a variety of professional preservation services that align with the client's goals, available resources, real property conditions, historical significance, industry best practices, and applicable policy or law. The scope of work includes tasks such as providing specialized professional historic preservation advisory services, making rehabilitation recommendations, evaluating proposed work scopes, and managing the creation, processing, and administration of various preservation protection instruments. The organization will also be responsible for compiling and refining historic property surveys, submitting applications for historic landmark designation, procuring and supervising the installation of historic markers, and collecting and transcribing oral histories. • The organization should have at least 10 years of experience in historic preservation consulting, advocacy, or related service delivery. • The organization should have experience working in historically marginalized or underserved urban historic districts. • The organization should have proven expertise in supervising subcontractors and successfully managing complex preservation projects. • The organization should be able to provide all necessary resources, equipment, labor, and logistical capacity to support the client and its project partners. • The organization should be able to deliver high-quality, public programming or public history collateral that engages and educates residents and visitors about the cultural assets within the target area.
