Apprenticeship and trade training

The Dane County Department of Human Services is seeking a vendor to provide assessment, training, mentorship, pre-apprenticeship activities, and connection to apprenticeships to FoodShare-eligible individuals interested in obtaining employment in the trades. The program aims to provide skills and credentials to find employment in high-wage jobs in manufacturing and construction sectors. The vendor will be expected to provide industry-recognized training, tutoring, and test preparation, as well as career exploration and work experience opportunities. The program will serve approximately 70-80 FSET individuals per year. Key aspects of the program include: • Providing industry-recognized training and certifications • Offering pre-apprenticeship coursework and certification • Providing assessments and tests for apprenticeships • Offering career coaching and counseling • Providing job placement assistance and connection to apprenticeship programs • Maintaining employer and trade union partnerships to create participant pathways to apprenticeship or other approved occupational placements.
