J023--Transmission Repair/Replacement x2

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified vendors to provide transmission repair/replacement services for two of their facility-owned vans. The vans are used to transport veteran patients to and from their scheduled VA medical appointments. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in the statement of work, including the complete installation of transmission on the vehicles. The work includes all necessary supplies and the towing of the vehicles from the VA facility to the awardee's place of business. The contractor's work shall take place at their site, and they shall commence performance as soon as a schedule is available. The contractor shall provide transmission installations to Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) and ensure that the transmissions meet or exceed original manufacturer specifications for seamless compatibility and superior performance. Some key requirements include: * Providing a Torque converter and transmission fluid specific to the manufacturing recommended * Installing the transmissions per specification and assembling to the vehicles * Checking the functions of the transmissions before notifying the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) * Replacing critical components to ensure long-lasting performance * Providing a comprehensive warranty for the transmissions
