Background Check Services

The University at Buffalo is soliciting proposals from qualified background‑screening firms to provide a comprehensive suite of background‑check services for its various departments. The contract will span five years, with pricing locked for the first year and limited CPI‑based increases thereafter. Technical evaluation accounts for 70 % of the award decision, while cost makes up the remaining 30 %. Bidders must demonstrate compliance with federal and state privacy regulations and provide a virtual demonstration of web‑based system accessibility in line with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. • Core services include criminal history searches, SSN verification, employment and education verification, professional license checks, and numerous regulatory/registry screenings. • Proposals must include mandatory attachments (Pricing Page, Client References, HECVAT, EIT Narrative) and meet strict administrative and technical criteria. • The award is contingent on approval by the New York State Attorney General’s Office and the Office of the State Comptroller.
