Sanctuary County Grant

The Multnomah County is inviting nonprofits and other eligible community-based organizations to apply for one-time funding from the Multnomah Sanctuary Fund. The goal of the fund is to increase the capacity of organizations to address the human and legal service needs of community members impacted by federal immigration enforcement activities. The fund will award up to $75,000 in grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000. Eligible expenses include costs of goods and services provided to eligible individuals, transportation costs, communications and marketing, and administrative costs. Ineligible expenses include activities or events held outside of Multnomah County, fiscal impacts on businesses, and costs not related to the proposed activity. • Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, Tribal governments, organizations with fiscal sponsors, and governments not currently contracted with Multnomah County. • The application review process will involve a Review Committee that will score each application individually using established criteria. • The committee will review all eligible awards and assess which applications meet the needs of the county and its communities. • Funding recommendations will be made based on the average score and the intended community to be served.
