Description
The University of Arizona is seeking a qualified vendor to design, install, operate, maintain, and continuously manage a comprehensive water‑treatment program for its central utility plants (steam, chilled‑water, cooling‑tower systems). The contract is service‑oriented, requiring the vendor to supply chemicals, equipment, on‑site service hours, 24/7 emergency support, and extensive reporting and training for university staff. The initial term is one year with up to four optional one‑year renewals, and pricing is “pay‑as‑you‑go” with year‑to‑year escalation. Important compliance and performance metrics (corrosion rates, bacterial limits, etc.) are detailed, and penalties apply for missed service visits or chemical stock‑outs.
• Scope covers high‑pressure boiler/feed‑water, closed‑loop chilled‑water, cooling‑tower water systems, and purified water for central plants.
• Vendor must provide chemicals, bulk‑storage containers, non‑proprietary controllers (leasing optional), and perform weekly service visits plus 24‑hour on‑call support.
• Mandatory site walk‑through on June 4, 2026; proposal submission via GEP/Quantum by June 23, 2026 2:30 PM MST.
