Professional Automobile Liability, Medical-Malpractice and Property Claims Administration Services

The County of San Mateo is seeking a third-party administrator to provide claims administration services for automobile liability, medical-malpractice, and property claims. The selected firm will be responsible for supervising and administering claims, conducting investigations, and negotiating with claimants. The contract will have a term of three years with two optional one-year extensions. The County is looking for a firm with experience in providing similar services and a strong understanding of the project requirements. • The firm will be responsible for adjusting and maintaining claims files, conducting investigations, and negotiating with claimants. • The firm will be required to provide quarterly reports on open and closed claims, as well as semi-annual and annual reports on the total number of reported claims and the total reserves. • The firm will be expected to work with the County's Risk Management and legal representatives to resolve claims and settle lawsuits. • The firm will be required to provide a proposed annual flat fee for all services and include a list of all services that will be provided within the basic annual flat fee. • The firm will be evaluated based on their project approach, firm qualifications, team qualifications, and fee proposal.
