Open Enrollment (OE) For Project SEARCH

The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking proposals for Project SEARCH, an international initiative that supports partnerships among businesses, local school districts, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and other entities to promote the successful long-term employment of individuals with disabilities. The program prepares students with disabilities for the workforce through total immersion in a business environment, where they develop competitive, marketable, and transferable skills. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing services to support the implementation of Project SEARCH. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing services to support the implementation of Project SEARCH • Preparing students with disabilities for the workforce through total immersion in a business environment • Developing competitive, marketable, and transferable skills • Providing assistance in securing permanent, long-term, competitive employment • Conducting background checks on all personnel who interact with VR customers • Maintaining documentation of background checks for a minimum of 6 years
