Artist Selection for Outdoor Mural at New Pump Station

The City of Cedar Rapids Community Development Department is seeking qualifications from artists for the creation of an outdoor mural at a new pump station. The selected artist will be responsible for designing and installing the mural. The City is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all of its business practices and expects the selected artist to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The mural should be an original work of art that is wholly original with the artist or for which the artist has secured all applicable interests, rights, licenses, permits, or other intellectual property rights. • The artist should ensure that the materials and work do not infringe upon any other work or violate the rights of publicity or privacy of any person, firm, or corporation. • The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive technicalities and formalities in bids. • The selected artist will be required to enter into a contract with the City, which will include provisions for payment, warranties, and termination.
