Prequalification for Major Equipment Suppliers - Turbine and Generator System

The Washoe Hydroelectric Powerhouse Improvements project is seeking prequalification applications from major equipment suppliers for the turbine and generator system. The system includes the turbine, generator, lubrication system, neutral/grounding transformer, 5kV line-up, and protective relays. The project utilizes a run-of-the-river hydroelectric system with up to 86 FT of head and 400 CFS of flow to generate 2.8MW. Supplier experience with hydroelectric systems of similar size and configuration is favorable. • The project is part of a hydroelectric system that generates 2.8MW. • The system includes a turbine, generator, lubrication system, and other associated features of work. • Turbine isolation valves, controls, and SCADA for the hydroelectric system will be pursued as bid options. • The selected supplier may need to provide control descriptions and support for the owner to complete system programming.
