Intent to Award Sole Source - 26 PortaCount™ Respirator Fit Tester 8048

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) intends to award a sole-source contract for the purchase of 26 PortaCount™ Respirator Fit Tester 8048's. The contract is intended to be awarded to TSI Incorporated. The USDA APHIS current operates a robust Respiratory Protection Program in which it has used PortaCounts provided by TSI Incorporated since 1998. The older Model 8038s have entered their shelf life for production, and APHIS is initiating the replacement with the updated Model 8048. • The contract is for a one-time purchase of 26 PortaCount™ Respirator Fit Tester 8048's. • The contract is intended to be awarded to TSI Incorporated. • The USDA APHIS has used PortaCounts provided by TSI Incorporated since 1998. • The older Model 8038s have entered their shelf life for production. • The contract is a follow-on requirement, with previous contracts awarded in 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2020.
