UW Transit Facility – Bus Wash System

The University of Wyoming is seeking bids for the installation of a bus wash system at the UW Transit Facility. The project includes the provision of miscellaneous hook-ups required for the automated bus wash system, modifications to the existing infrared radiant heaters, and the installation of a new harsh environment infrared radiant heater in the wash bay. The project also includes plumbing and electrical work. The contractor will be required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting and to submit a bid by the deadline. The project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026. • The bus wash system has been designed by Westmatic Corp. • The project includes the installation of a new domestic water line and compressed air line to the new car wash equipment. • The electrical scope includes providing a new panel fed out of the MDP to power all the new car wash equipment. • The contractor will be required to hire a qualified general type contractor to perform the floor cutting/patching and the roof cutting/patching work if bidding as a prime contractor.
