Low Ambient Pressure Chamber Pump Unit Replacement

The Bureau of Reclamation's Hydraulics Laboratory requires a contractor to replace the Low Ambient Pressure Chamber (LAPC) pump unit. The existing equipment has exceeded its service life and needs to be replaced with a modern system to maintain operational flexibility and flow capabilities up to 4,500 gallons per minute (gpm). The contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of the old equipment, furnishing a new 100-hp pumping unit and variable frequency drive (VFD), and installing the new equipment. The contract will be for a firm-fixed price, and the period of performance will be 12 months after award. Key aspects of the project include: • Removing and disposing of the existing pump unit and associated equipment • Furnishing a new 100-hp pumping unit and VFD • Installing the new equipment and completing all electrical connections • Providing a safety plan and ensuring compliance with all security procedures • Coordinating with Hydraulics Laboratory staff to minimize disruption to ongoing work The contractor will be required to submit a quotation, including a technical capability narrative, a detailed price proposal, and past performance information. The Government will evaluate offers based on technical capability, past performance, safety, price, and schedule feasibility.
