Solar Salt Supply to D5

The West Virginia Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for the supply of Solar Salt to be used for snow removal and ice control throughout the State of West Virginia. The contract is intended to be an open-end, continuing basis, with the vendor providing Solar Salt that meets the required specifications. The vendor will be responsible for delivering the Solar Salt to specified locations, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. • The Solar Salt must contain no anticaking or free flowing additives or conditioners and must meet certain quality and size grading requirements. • The vendor must provide verified testing data and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) prior to contract award. • The contract includes provisions for emergency requests, liquidated damages, and return of unacceptable items. • The vendor must maintain sufficient inventory to fulfill its obligations under the contract and provide quarterly reports and annual summaries as requested. • The contract includes provisions for contract modifications, substitutions, and cancellations.
