Courthouse Annex & Domestic Relations Office (DRO) Security

The Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department is soliciting qualified security guard firms to provide armed, professionally trained guard services for two county facilities: the Courthouse Annex and the Domestic Relations Office (DRO). The contract is a one‑year term (01/01/2027 – 12/31/2027) with an optional one‑year extension. Service hours are weekdays only, with specific shift times for each location. The contractor must supply three guards in total (one at the Courthouse Annex, two at the DRO) who are trained on security screening equipment (provided by the County) and must maintain a professional appearance. The County will provide all screening equipment; the contractor must provide qualified personnel, maintain required licenses, and supply insurance as specified. Bids are to be submitted electronically via PennBid or by hard copy to the Purchasing Department by 4:00 PM EST on 15 Sept 2026. Questions are due by 4:00 PM EST on 8 Sept 2026.
