Description
The City of Tucson Environmental Services is seeking multiple qualified firms to enter into an annual‑requirements contract for the supply, exchange, and disposal support of activated carbon used in groundwater pump‑and‑treat and soil‑vapor‑extraction remediation systems throughout the city. The contract covers provision of virgin coconut‑shell, bituminous‑coal, and re‑activated carbon meeting detailed physical‑chemical specifications, collection and laboratory analysis of spent carbon, transportation and on‑site replacement of carbon in vessels ranging from 5,000 lb to 20,000 lb capacities, and optional provision of 55‑gallon drum vessels and associated piping. The City will not handle spent carbon; the contractor must manage sampling, manifesting, and compliance with hazardous‑waste regulations. The solicitation includes a non‑mandatory pre‑submission virtual meeting (August 31, 2026) and a question deadline of September 7, 2026. Offers are due September 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM local time via the City’s online procurement portal.
