Bus Shelter Maintenance

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is seeking bids for bus shelter maintenance services. The contract includes cleaning, trash removal, and snow removal for bus shelters. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of all addenda to the bidding document, and failure to do so may cause the bid to be considered non-responsive. The vendor will be selected based on evaluation factors, not solely on price. The contract requires the vendor to provide cleaning solutions, trash bags, and to dispose of collected trash. The vendor is not responsible for replacing broken glass or removing dumped materials. • The contract includes maintenance for 59 bus shelters with trash containers. • The vendor must provide a flat rate for snow removal. • The vendor must notify RIPTA of any situations where people leave excessive garbage. • The vendor must perform additional cleanings as requested by RIPTA's Customer Service group. • The vendor must include additional work as a line item in a monthly invoice.
