Description
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) Community Services Department (CSD) is seeking proposals from qualified entities to submit applications for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition funding for the renewal of projects to serve homeless individuals, families, and youth in Palm Beach County. The CoC Program Competition is intended to support efforts by non-profit organizations and state and local governments to rehouse homeless individuals and families quickly, while minimizing the trauma and upheaval caused by homelessness. The program includes those fleeing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, in addition to youth and young adults, and provides supports and services needed to assist individuals and families to attain stable housing.
• Eligible projects include Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Rapid Rehousing (RRH), and Transitional Housing to RRH (TH-RRH) projects.
• Preference will be given to renewing PSH programs.
• Applicants must meet all statutory and regulatory requirements of The Act and 24 CFR Part 578, unless HUD approves a waiver.
• Applicants must have current CoC project(s) for which they will apply for renewal.
• Applicants can be non-profit organizations, states, local governments, and instrumentalities of state and local governments.
• For-profit entities are not eligible to apply for grants or act as subrecipients of grant funds.
• All subrecipients must also meet the eligibility standards as described above.
