Chaffee County Destination Development Director - Independent Contractor

The Chaffee County Government is seeking a consultant/contractor to serve as an independent contractor for the role of Chaffee County Destination Development Director. The Destination Development Director will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a county-wide Destination Marketing and Management Strategy and related activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in destination marketing and management, and will be able to work closely with local stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism growth while maintaining the county's unique character and quality of life. The contract is expected to be for 24 months, with a maximum total budget of $105,000 per calendar year. • Develop and implement a county-wide Destination Marketing and Management Strategy • Work closely with local stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism growth • Develop an annual work plan and budget for the Destination Management Council • Provide regular reporting to the Chaffee County Board of County Commissioners • Ensure alignment across various destination management initiatives
