Golden Bike Park Trail Maintenance

The City of Golden is seeking a contractor to provide ongoing maintenance services for the Golden Bike Park trails. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring all trails and features remain in a baseline safe and rideable condition. This includes routine trail surface upkeep, repair and stabilization of features, debris removal, hazard mitigation, and documentation of trail conditions. The contractor will also develop a comprehensive inventory of all bike park features and conduct monthly inspections. The contract term and duration are not specified, but the contractor will be expected to provide services on an ongoing basis. Key responsibilities include maintaining trail tread integrity, repairing or stabilizing features, clearing debris, and identifying and mitigating hazards. The contractor will also be required to submit detailed reports outlining conditions, repairs, and any safety concerns. • Maintaining trail tread integrity, including smoothing ruts, addressing erosion, and correcting drainage issues. • Repairing or stabilizing berms, rollers, jumps, rock features, wooden features, pump track elements, and other constructed components as needed to maintain safe rideability. • Clearing debris and obstructions from all trails and access points. • Identifying and mitigating hazards such as loose rocks, damaged features, or soil displacement. • Maintaining proper sightlines and visibility standards appropriate to the trail’s design and user skill level. • Reporting any conditions that exceed the scope of routine maintenance and recommending corrective actions.
