The Iowa Economic Development Authority is seeking a qualified consultant to review, assess, and prepare Iowa State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) historic site inventory files for public release. The contractor will examine digitized historic architectural database files, Iowa Site Inventory Form files, and related historic context documents, identify items requiring redaction, apply appropriate confidentiality measures, and organize the files for upload to the Historic Property Inventory Database (HPID). The effort is a fixed‑price, one‑year contract with possible extensions, and requires submission of separate technical and cost proposals. • Review ~1,170 boxes of historic inventory PDFs (Architectural Database, Site Inventory Forms, Context files) and determine public‑release eligibility. • Perform redaction and classification of confidential material per Iowa Code § 22 and agency policies. • Deliver organized, upload‑ready files, a naming‑schema guide, and a confidentiality/retention plan; optional recommendations on metadata or workflow improvements.
