Rock Creek Road at Rock Creek Bridge – Engineering Design Services

The County of Nevada is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide comprehensive bridge engineering design services for the replacement of the historic Rock Creek Bridge on Rock Creek Road. The firm will develop fully permitted, ready‑to‑bid plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a new two‑lane, single‑span bridge, evaluate alternative construction approaches, conduct hydraulic, geotechnical, and environmental studies, and coordinate right‑of‑way, utility relocation, and public outreach. The contract also requires project management, progress reporting, value‑engineering reviews, and construction‑phase support. • Design a new two‑lane bridge while preserving existing roadway alignment and minimizing creek disturbance. • Perform hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, geotechnical investigations, and environmental permitting (NEPA/CEQA). • Produce complete PS&E (plans, specs, estimates) for removal of the existing bridge and construction of the new structure. • Provide project management, monthly progress reports, and value‑engineering/constructability reviews. • Coordinate utility relocation, right‑of‑way acquisition, and public outreach with County staff. • Deliver design documents for Caltrans PS&E approval and support bid preparation.
