Design Engineering: Green Valley Rd Culvert Replacement

The Town of Weathersfield is requesting proposals for engineering services for a project to construct a replacement stream crossing on Green Valley Road. The project is funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration and the Town of Weathersfield, through the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) Municipal Assistance Section (MAS). The selected consultant will be responsible for completing the design engineering services, including conceptual plans, preliminary plans, final design, and bidding services. The consultant will also be responsible for assisting the municipality with the acquisition of necessary permits and approvals. Key aspects of the project include: • Replacement of the existing 48” corrugated metal pipe with a new culvert • Design and construction of a new stream crossing • Compliance with VTrans and federal requirements • Acquisition of necessary permits and approvals • Assistance with the bidding process The project is expected to take approximately 4 years to complete, from grant award to construction completion.
