ArcGIS StoryMap Development for Nez Perce Cultural Sites

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a noncompetitive firm fixed price contract to the Nez Perce Tribe for the development of an ArcGIS StoryMap. The StoryMap will include information about four Historic Properties of Religious and Cultural Significance to Indian Tribes or Traditional Cultural Properties (TCPs) located within The Dalles and John Day Dam Operating Projects. The project requires technical expertise and access to unique and confidential information held only by the Nez Perce Tribe. The key aspects of the project include: • Expanding the existing ArcGIS StoryMap to include the four identified TCPs • Adding current and historic photos, descriptions of natural resources, events, and traditional practices that take place within the four TCPs • Including information about the journey along the trail that connects the Nez Perce homelands in the Palouse region of Idaho and Washington to their traditional trading and gathering places along the middle Columbia River
